The Forge Race Guide
Races in The Forge add unique stat tweaks and visuals. This page keeps every roll odds and perk in one place so you can plan the forge race you want without leaving The Forge Wiki.
Below you'll find both reroll methods (Wizard Tower spin and the in-game Race Menu) plus a table of all 13 races with their bonuses and tradeoffs.
Race rarity and tier overview
The Forge race tier list at a glance
- S tier: S-tier races stand at the top thanks to exceptional mobility, high damage, and strong survivability. Their powerful traits fit any build and consistently outperform most other races in both combat and resource gathering.
- A tier: A-tier races are reliable and versatile, working well with nearly all builds. They offer steady stat boosts and useful offensive and defensive perks, though not as overwhelming as S-tier options.
- B tier: B-tier races can shine with the right playstyle and still provide meaningful bonuses. However, their noticeable drawbacks keep them from competing with higher-tier races.
- C tier: C-tier races are decent early-game choices and suitable for beginner setups. Their benefits fall off quickly once stronger races become available.
- D tier: D-tier races offer minor early value but scale poorly over time. Their weak and inconsistent bonuses make them hard to recommend even with good gear.
- F tier: The F tier belongs to the weakest starting race: the Human. It’s usable at first, but switching to any higher-tier race as soon as possible is strongly advised.
Higher rarity races hit harder or move faster but roll less often. Use rerolls when you have buffs active to stretch your odds.

FAQ
Q1. What is the best race to pick in The Forge?
For early progress, the forge race that smooths leveling is usually Elf or Orc thanks to steady damage buffs; aim for S or A tiers when luck boosts are active.
Q2. How to reroll race in the forge quickly?
Stack active luck boosts, head to the Wizard Tower, and buy spins while buffs run so you spend fewer rerolls to reach higher tiers.
Q3. How to change race in the forge without traveling far?
Open the Shop tab, select Race Menu, and use stored rerolls there so you can swap races anywhere without returning to the tower.
Q4. Do rerolls reset my stats or quests?
No—rerolling only swaps racial perks; your inventory, quests, and upgrades stay the same so you don't lose progress.
Q5. When should I spend premium rerolls?
Use premium rerolls during double-luck events or when chasing Legendary/Mythical options like Dragonborn or Angel to maximize value per spin.
Q6. Do race odds change with updates?
Odds rarely change; check patch notes, but most updates keep the same percentages shown in the table above.
